Zimbabwean Executive Producer and Actor. He is Big Brother Africa finalist. Munyaradzi Chidzonga is a charismatic and youthful actor/producer whose charm and tenacity earned him the title The "Diamond Boy". Or the last four years Munya has taken on the challenge of reinventing the entertainment industry in Zimbabwe, by rejuvenating and re-branding what young Zimbabweans define as "pop-culture" and packing it for international consumption, while still maintaining strong ethnic values. His participation in the biggest reality TV competition in Africa (Big Brother Africa) on two occasions saw him take his ideas and vision to the rest of the continent and saw him emerge as the most popular contestant in both competitions. His popularity led to him being awarded $300 000 USD by an anonymous consortium of businessmen. Munyaradzi plays a double roles in the film THE GENTLEMAN (2011) as the twins: Takunda and Tawana, a role which he describes as a 'Dream for any actor." Working closely with Director Joe Njagu, he delivers a powerful performance, bringing out a sharp contrast between the two personalities that he portrays in the action flick. Munyaradzi holds a BA degree in Film, majoring in acting and scrip-writing from AFDA (The Southern African School of Motion Picture And Live Performance). Trivia His last film, (LOBOLA, 2010) which his company Ivory Pictures also distributed grossed over R500 000 in less than three months, making it the most selling film in Zimbabwean history to date. On his final night in the Big Brother, 1 million people voted for him to be the ultimate winner of the reality show. When he is not making films, he enjoys playing golf.
