Mirvet MÉDINI KAMMOUN (Mirvet Médini Kammoun) is a film director, screenwriter, interior designer and academic.
Doctor in Arts and Sciences of the Arts (Sorbonne Paris 1, in joint supervision with the University of Tunis, 2009), she is Assistant Professor at ESAC (Tunisia). Director, author and scholar, she participates in several conferences in Tunisia, France and the United States of America. She released her first book "Youssef Chahine, camera of all combats" in 2010 (Tunis, CPU).
In 2014, she signed her first short film "Nejma", selected and awarded at the 3rd Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival. In 2017, she released her second short film "Noces d'Epines" which was presented in official competition at several international festivals including 2018 Aswan International Woman film festival, 2018 Meknes Youth Films International Festival, 13th International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva - FIFOG 2018, International Filmmor Women's Film Festival (Turkey) and Fameck Arab Film Festival (France). The film received the grand prize of the international short film jury at 2018 FESTICAB (Burundi). In 2021, she released her third short film "Star dusts" Premiered at Malmo Arab Film festival, winning the Audience Award at the 16th International Festival of the oriental film of Geneva - FIFOG 2021.
