INTWASA is one of Zimbabwe's premiere arts gatherings. Starting of as a community initiative the multi-discipline arts festival has grown to become a leading international arts festival celebrating human diversity and creativity. To date Intwasa has hosted regional and international artistes from Botswana, Swaziland, South Africa, United States of America, UK, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Belgium, Wales and Zambia.

The HEART of the festival remains community development and collaborations while its VISION is mass celebration of human creativity and diversity through community participation. Always the FACE of the festival is the creative community of the city of Bulawayo.

INTWASA is held in September. This month is very significant to the people of Bulawayo and Zimbabwe in general. September marks the beginning of spring; a time when a lot of activities are done.
