Music producer Evans "TG" Dube has joined forces with fellow international producers from Australia and the Netherlands in a project that is aimed at improving the quality of local sound.

Tino Nakirwa (Australia) and Robin Wesley (Netherlands) and TG of Block 101 Entertainment Studio in Msasa Park will work together to give local music an international feel.

The local producer said the move is set to revolutionalise local music.

"There is no doubt that this will help in changing the perception that some people have towards local sound.

"That is what we stand for. Music is not just a matter of producing half-baked products and churning them out," he said.

"We take our time to produce our music and we are constantly in touch with these guys abroad who also fine-tune the music."

TG said they were scouting for new talent, although they also have a pool of prominent artistes such as Sanii Makhalima, Tererai Mugwadi, Ngoni Kambarami, Maskiri, Qonfuzed and Pauline Gundiza, among others, they have worked with on various projects.

"We are glad that these big names have worked with some upcoming musicians who are full of promise and of note is Maskiri who we worked with on his album 'Baddest Rapper' which was released last year. There are also a number of singles by the same artiste and one of them is the track 'NaMwari' featuring Tererai which is doing well on the charts," he said.

The youthful rapper said this was not all since they had various other projects like Varaidzo's "Ndakuwana" which also found its way into the charts. The track is taken off the diva's self-titled album "Varaidzo" while one of her singles "Mudhuze" on which she featured Sanii is also a sure-fire hit.

Tererai has her single titled "Africa" which expresses pride in being African while at the same time urging people not to plunder the continent. Pauline collaborated with Stacey on "Wakandinyengedza" set for release soon.

J-Boss, who is also a DJ at Star FM, is also one of the artistes under the stable.

"People should watch out for Ngoni Kambarami's singles and these include the track 'Hana Kurova'. We also have a formidable combination in the form of the duo of Mr Victor and Trisha whose single 'Most Wanted Love' will be out any time soon and this is a bomb," said TG's co-producer, Webster Tinashe Manjoro aka Mzimba The Chairman.

Mzimba said the new names under their stable are the future of Zimbabwean music.

"These are the future of Zimbabwean music and our aim is to make music that can push Zimbabwe and Africa on the world map. So far, our Australian producer has produced five videos which we will be taking to ZTV for screening soon" he said.

Brighton "Dexter" Simoyi and Malcom aka JMG are associate producers at the same studio.
