Garba, a small designer, lives with his friends in the capital city of Niger, and constantly listens to the radio. Unhappy with the local politics and economy because he cannot make a decent living, he
decides to go to the North, the grand Sahara where his former companions live in the midst of the global crisis. He joins
Alassane and his family, caravanists of the legendary salt
routes. Together, they walk in the desert for months in very
tight conditions exacerbated by the competition from salt trucks
and the repercussions of the war in Libya. Young people are
reluctant in joining the caravan and Alassane is worried about
the future of his family.
