This week Harare's busy arts development organisation Pamberi Trust continues to roll out an exciting programme for '16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence' at The Book Cafe, Harare with over 50 women artists participating.

THE PROGRAMME ...

TUE 25 NOV, 7pm - NOBUNTU (Byo) & JAM SIGNAL
Exciting young music to mark the start of '16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence'' - The acappella group of five talented, young women from Bulawayo with a fusion of traditional Zimbabwean rooted music, Afro Jazz, Gospel and crossovers in pure voices with minimalistic percussion and traditional instruments – singing for Peace on the eve of their debut overseas tour; back-to-back with swift-rising hot young musicians of Jam Signal, Harare - cc$3

WED 26 NOV, 6pm - Film Screening:
'THE WHISTLEBLOWER'
A drama based on the experiences of Kathryn Bolkovac, a Nebraska cop who served as a peacekeeper in post-war Bosnia and outed the U.N. for covering up a sex scandal. Presented courtesy of the Embassy of Canada for the '16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence' programme. – Free, all welcome

THU 27 NOV, 8pm - DIANA SAMKANGE
Introducing Diana as 'MANGWENYA, THE FUTURE' - Come and witness as Diana Samkange paves way for 'Mangwenya'. Women artists against Gender-based Violence in the global 16 Days Campaign - cc$5

FRI 28 NOV, 8pm - HOPE MASIKE with BLED CHIMANGA
After 6 weeks touring USA with the acclaimed OneBeat and Germany with Kuenda Productions, Hope Masike returns home with an energising new show - tasteful, wild, soul-filing mbira grooves! - with her band, featuring drummer and Onebeat fellow Blessing Chimanga. - Artists against Gender-based Violence in the global 16 Days Campaign - cc$10

SAT 29 NOV, 7pm - MASHOKO '16 DAYS' CONCERT
'Peoples Podium' (open mic), Spoken Word featuring Momo the Empress, Black Pearl, Black Anakin; PLUS Music Showcase featuring Noble Style, Synik, Sharkie, Nu Alliance, Shingi Mangoma, and HOUSE OF STONE – Spoken-word artists against Gender-based Violence in the global 16 Days Campaign - cc$5

MON 1 DEC, 6pm - BOOK CAFÉ OPEN MIC - young artists from Pamberi Trust's youth programme commemorate WORLD AIDS DAY, and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence.

TUE 9 DEC, 5.30pm - FILM Premiere: "TEARS FROM INSIDE" by Collen Magobeya – the launch of the documentary film (30m). Filmmakers against Gender-based Violence in the global 16 Days Campaign – FREE, All welcome

WED 10 DEC, 8pm - '16 Days' HUMAN RIGHTS CONCERT: PRUDENCE KATOMENI & HOPE MASIKE – Two of Zimbabwe's favourite women artists deliver an exiciting performance and powerful message against violence, calling for "Peace in the Home and Peace in the World!" – The finale of the '16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence' Campaign – cc$5
